About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead operations at a Woking pharmaceutical production site. This is a fully site-based role, ideal for a strategic leader with a strong engineering understanding and proven management experience in a GMP-regulated environment – whether pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring compliance with GMP standards.
- Direct line management of the Production Manager and Quality Control Manager.
- Indirect leadership of a wider cross-functional team of around 30 site-based staff across production, quality, and engineering.
- Drive operational excellence, continuous improvement, and site performance.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to align site goals with broader business objectives.
- Ensure robust engineering practices are embedded across the site.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a GMP-regulated setting.
- Background in pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and their application in a regulated production environment.
- Proven ability to manage and develop teams, both directly and indirectly.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working in a fully site-based role.
