A newly created role for a Senior Business Development Director to drive growth in Asset Based Lending across the UK. The focus is on originating new business opportunities, structuring and executing deals, and building a dedicated ABL function within a fast-growing, financially stable lending platform.

This is a field-based role offering nationwide coverage, significant autonomy, and the chance to shape strategy in a high-value, specialist lending environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and deliver new ABL opportunities, managing the full deal lifecycle from initial enquiry to completion
  • Structure transactions across a broad range of asset classes and deal sizes (£200k–£70m)
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with introducers, including advisers, accountants, and brokers
  • Collaborate closely with credit, risk, and operations teams to ensure smooth execution
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and untapped opportunities to support growth

Skills & Experience

  • Proven track record in originating and executing ABL transactions
  • Strong introducer network within corporate finance, accounting or broker communities
  • Deep understanding of ABL structures, including receivables, inventory, plant & machinery, and property
  • Commercially astute with strong financial analysis and negotiation skills
  • Self-motivated and able to operate autonomously in a remote, field-based environment
