  • Open new customer accounts, carry out credit checks and assist with setting credit limits
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure credit terms and limits are adhered to
  • Assist with posting daily bank receipts (BACS and cheques) and allocating payments
  • Log and help resolve customer account queries
  • Raise credit notes and assist with ad hoc invoicing
  • Update and maintain records within the Opera 3 Credit Manager system
  • Monitor and respond to the credit control inbox
  • Provide support during month-end tasks and reporting
  • Work collaboratively within the finance team and provide holiday cover where required

Qualifications

No accounting qualification or degree is required for this role.

Required Skills

  • Around 1 year of experience in a finance or office-based role (preferred but not essential)
  • Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach
  • Good communication skills and confidence speaking with customers
  • Basic Excel and Microsoft Office skills

Preferred Skills

There is plenty of scope to grow within the finance team, take on projects and support improvements to the company’s finance systems and processes.
