A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to support a high‑performing disputes practice, working closely with senior lawyers on pitching, campaigns, and client development.
This role is ideal for a commercially minded BD professional who enjoys ownership, visibility, and working in a fast‑paced legal environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage pitch and proposal activity, including complex and multi‑jurisdictional RFPs
- Develop and deliver business development campaigns aligned to practice and sector priorities
- Plan and support client events, seminars, and webinars, including ROI tracking
- Support client and sector targeting, key account activity, and relationship development
- Conduct market and competitor research to identify growth opportunities
- Maintain and improve BD infrastructure, including CRM systems and credentials databases
- Manage and coordinate legal directory and award submissions
- Work closely with partners and senior stakeholders to drive profile and revenue growth
About you
- Proven BD experience within a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong pitching expertise with excellent written and commercial skills
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and influencing at partner level
- Experienced with CRM systems, email marketing tools, and directories processes
