Senior Planning Engineer (MEP) – Data Centres

Freelance Senior MEP Planner – Data Centres – London (Outside IR35)

I’m currently looking for a heavy-hitting Senior Planning Engineer (MEP) to join a major Data Centre build in London.

You’ll be the leading the programme, taking ownership of the MEP fit-out schedule. This isn’t just a “reporting” role. We need someone who actually understands the sequence of a DC build—from plant movement and high-voltage subs to the final IST/Commissioning phases.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing the Baseline and high-level project milestones in Primavera P6.
• Walking the site to verify progress (not just taking the site team’s word for it).
• Producing S-curves and progress reports that actually make sense to the stakeholders.
• Identifying risks early and running “what-if” scenarios to keep things on track.
• Working closely with the Commercial team on delay analysis and records.

What you need:

• Data Centre Experience
• Background in MEP
• You should be able to navigate complex schedules in P6.
• Good knowledge of NEC/JCT (compensation events, etc.).
