Quantity Surveyor | North Kent | Up to £60,000 | Fast-Track to Senior QS
We are recruiting for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join a busy and growing contractor based in North Kent.
This role offers the chance to run your own projects commercially and quickly broaden your experience thanks to the fast turnaround nature of the schemes. For the right person, there is a clear pathway to progress into a Senior Quantity Surveyor role.
The Role
• Commercial management of projects from pre-start through to final account
• Procurement and negotiation of subcontractor packages
• Preparation of valuations and applications for payment
• Managing variations and change control
• Cost reporting and forecasting
• Subcontractor payment assessments and account management
• Working closely with project managers and site teams to maintain commercial control
The Offer
• Salary up to £60,000 per annum (all-in) depending on experience
• Full-time, permanent position
• North Kent office base
• Working hours: 8am–5.30pm Monday–Thursday, 8am–3.30pm Friday
• Clear opportunity to progress to Senior Quantity Surveyor
About You
• Around 2+ years’ experience in a Quantity Surveyor role
• Experience managing projects or packages commercially
• Strong subcontractor management and negotiation skills
• Construction-related degree desirable but not essential
• Experience working on Design & Build contracts, particularly within healthcare environments, would be advantageous
