Job Description:

Finance Business Partner (DACH) | Tech | £75,000 to £95,000 + bonus | London (Hybrid)

Goodman Masson are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a global, PE-backed Technology business who are looking to appoint a high-caliber Finance Business Partner to their London team. This is a critical hire acting as the primary commercial bridge to European business units (DACH focus); therefore, fluent German language skills are a non-negotiable requirement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded, German-speaking professional to step into a highly visible role. You will work closely with senior leadership and the M&A team to support the business through an aggressive period of international growth and integration.

With significant Private Equity backing, the company is scaling rapidly across the UK and the EMEA region. Finance is viewed as a strategic value-driver rather than a back-office function, placing this team at the heart of budgeting, forecasting, and investment decision-support.

The Role

This position will suit a proactive “self-starter” who wants to go beyond the numbers and truly influence how a pan-European business operates. You will provide the financial analysis and operational insight necessary for department heads to make informed decisions and drive profitability. Alongside core FP&A, you will play a leading role in finance transformation, process improvement, and post-acquisition integration projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • DACH Regional Lead: Spearhead the budgeting, forecasting, and rolling re-forecast processes for the DACH business units.
  • Commercial Partnering: Act as the lead Finance Business Partner to non-finance stakeholders, taking the lead on business cases and investment appraisals.
  • P&L Management: Full ownership of P&L reporting and performance analysis for key entities.
  • Insightful Reporting: Produce high-quality management accounts and commercial packs that “tell the story” behind the data.
  • Financial Modelling: Build and maintain sophisticated models to support scenario planning and strategic decision-making.
  • Transformation: Lead on finance integration and process improvement projects to align regional reporting with Group PE standards.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Partner with non-finance heads to improve budget accountability and operational efficiency.
  • Ad Hoc Projects: Provide deep-dive analysis for commercial projects, M&A activity, and regional performance reviews.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA / CIMA / ACCA). We are particularly interested in candidates from a Transaction Services (TS), Restructuring, or Audit background.
  • Languages: Fluent/Native German speaker – this is an essential requirement for the role.
  • Experience: Ideally, experience working within a Private Equity-backed environment or directly with PE investors.
  • Mindset: A strong commercial “engine” and the ability to partner with stakeholders at all levels, from Department Heads to the CFO.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Communication: A confident communicator who can challenge the status quo and build robust professional relationships internationally.

What’s on Offer

  • Hybrid Working: 3 days in the London office (Central) / 2 days remote.
  • Culture: A high-growth, collaborative, and sociable environment within a global market leader.
  • Exposure: Direct access to a high-profile leadership team and the chance to cut your teeth in a complex PE integration.
