Job Description:

Pulpex is a pioneering fibre packaging company delivering scalable, renewable packaging solutions. Their fibre-based, first-of-its-kind bottles uses cutting-edge innovation to drive significant change in the eco-packaging space.

In the UK, more than 38.5 million plastic bottles are used every day, with approximately 16 million ending up in landfill, being incinerated, or polluting our environment and waterways. As Finance Director, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, ensuring high-quality reporting, strong financial governance and effective support to operational and commercial teams across the business.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Producing accurate and timely monthly management accounts, board packs and investor reporting

  • Leading budgeting, forecasting and longer-term financial planning processes across multiple sites
  • Driving improvements in cash flow, working capital and capital expenditure planning
  • Strengthening financial controls, governance and reporting processes across the organisation

  • Leading ERP and finance systems optimisation projects
  • Supporting ESG reporting requirements, including emissions reporting and EPR compliance
  • Acting as the key contact for auditors, tax advisors, lenders and other external stakeholders
  • Supporting due diligence, refinancing and potential future exit processes

We are seeking a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience across the Manufacturing Environment

You will ideally offer:

  • Strong board-level reporting and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Deep understanding of audit, tax, compliance and governance
  • Strong manufacturing finance expertise across costing, inventory, supply chain and operational KPIs
  • Experience implementing or improving ERP systems
  • Exposure to finance transformation, reporting automation and continuous improvement initiatives
