The Opportunity
Design high-precision electronics systems used by leading engineering organisations worldwide.
We are looking for a Hardware Design Engineer to join an established, engineering-led company specialising in precision electronic test and measurement systems. This hands-on role lets you take ownership of projects, designing and developing mixed-signal hardware from concept through to production, within a cooperative, technically strong team.
Move beyond routine design work and influence product development while building deep technical expertise as a Hardware Design Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
- Define product specifications with Product Management
- Design and develop analogue and digital electronics hardware
- Create schematics and multilayer PCB layouts using Altium Designer
- Select components and improve performance, accuracy, and reliability
- Debug and validate hardware using lab equipment
- Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams
- Take ownership of projects from concept to production
- Support products throughout their lifecycle and contribute to design reviews
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience
- Experience in hardware design
- Strong analogue and digital circuit design knowledge
- Experience with schematic capture and PCB layout tools
- Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and test equipment
- Experience in multi-disciplinary engineering teams
- Strong problem-solving and attention to detail
Desirable Experience
- Altium Designer experience
- RF circuit design knowledge
- Experience in instrumentation, measurement, or high-reliability systems
