Finance Manager Location: Blackheath, London Job Type: Full-time Reports To: Operations Director About the Company Our client is an innovative and fast-growing business within the modular housing sector, delivering sustainable, factory-built homes. They partner with public and private organisations to unlock underutilised land and create high-quality, environmentally responsible housing solutions.

The Role We are seeking a hands-on and strategic Finance Manager to lead financial operations and support business growth. This role combines day-to-day financial management with strategic input, working closely with senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting

  • Manage day-to-day finance operations (invoicing, expenses, reconciliations, cash flow)
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts
  • Monitor performance against budgets, identifying risks and trends
  • Support project-level financial tracking
  • Assist with development viability appraisals
  • Manage CIS returns and supplier compliance

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting and reforecasting processes
  • Collaborate with leadership on budgets and resource planning
  • Provide financial insights for pricing and strategic decisions
  • Prepare financial models for funding and investment

Compliance & Systems

  • Ensure compliance with financial and tax regulations
  • Liaise with external accountants on audit and statutory reporting
  • Maintain accurate financial records
  • Improve financial systems and processes
  • Support digitalisation of finance systems

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a financial advisor to senior stakeholders
  • Communicate financial information clearly to non-finance teams
  • Support operational and workforce planning

Requirements

  • 5+ years’ experience in finance (construction/property/professional services preferred)
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and best practice
  • Proficient in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks) and Excel
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Experience in project-based financial planning (desirable)

BIM Awareness

  • Understanding of BIM principles and terminology
  • Awareness of ISO 19650
  • Familiarity with Common Data Environments (CDE)
