Band 7 Nuclear Medicine Technologist – London (Agency Contract)

We are currently working with a well-established NHS Trust in London to recruit an experienced Band 7 Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join their department on a locum basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy and forward-thinking Nuclear Medicine service, offering a varied caseload and the chance to work within a highly supportive and experienced team.

The Role

  • Perform a wide range of Nuclear Medicine imaging procedures
  • Take responsibility for justifying and assessing referrals in line with IR(ME)R
  • Play a senior role within the department, supporting day-to-day clinical operations
  • Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff where required
  • Contribute to audit, service development, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Work closely within the wider MDT to ensure high standards of patient care

The department offers a diverse workload, including general Nuclear Medicine, nuclear cardiology, and bone densitometry, with ongoing service development.

Requirements

  • HCPC or RCT registration (or equivalent)
  • Degree in Radiography / Medical Physics or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within Nuclear Medicine
  • Strong understanding of IR(ME)R and IRR regulations
  • Ability to work independently and manage complex clinical situations
