Job Title: Vehicle Technician (Temporary – Potential for Permanent Role)Location: Arnold, NottinghamStart Date: Ideally by 6th April 2026 Job Overview:We are seeking a reliable and skilled Vehicle Technician to join our small team on a temporary basis, with the potential for a permanent position due to upcoming staff changes. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who can work independently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and customer service. Key Responsibilities:Carry out vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs to a high standardComplete MOT testing and/or taxi inspections (where qualified)Accurately complete written inspection sheets and documentationCommunicate effectively with customers and team membersEnsure all work is completed efficiently and within allocated timeframes Requirements:Relevant qualification:Level 2 or 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance, orLevel 3 in Light Vehicle MaintenancePrevious experience in MOT testing and/or taxi inspections is preferredStrong customer service skills with clear communication abilityCompetent in completing written reports and inspection sheetsReliable with excellent timekeeping and punctualityAbility to work independently and use initiative within a small teamExperience with plant equipment is highly desirable (but not essential) Working Hours:Minimum: 3 days per week (8 hours per day)Maximum: 5 days per week (up to 39 hours)Monday to Thursday: 07:45 – 16:15Friday: 7-hour working day30-minute unpaid lunch breakNo bank holiday working Contract Type:Temporary initially, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role If you are a dependable and skilled technician looking for an opportunity with flexibility and potential long-term prospects, we would like to hear from you….
