Year 3 Teaching Assistant

Full Time – ASAP After Easter
A 2-form entry primary school in Burnt Oak, Barnet is looking for a caring and experienced Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join their team after Easter. This full-time role combines general classroom support with dedicated support for a child with autism, helping them manage everyday school life and thrive in the classroom.
About the role
This is a rewarding opportunity for a nurturing, patient and empathetic Teaching Assistant who has experience supporting children with autism in a primary school setting.
You will work as part of the Year 3 team, supporting teaching and learning across the class, while also providing consistent support for a pupil who needs help with routines, transitions, communication and the day-to-day demands of school life.

The ideal candidate will have
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school
- Experience supporting a child with autism / ASD in a school setting
- A patient, calm and nurturing approach
- Strong relationship-building skills
- Confidence supporting children in KS2 / Year 3
- A genuine passion for helping children feel safe, settled and successful in school

- 8:15am – 3:45pm
- £95 per day
- Start after Easter
- Potential for the role to continue in September
