Senior Commercial Manager

Are you passionate about using data and AI to help teams make smarter commercial decisions? We are looking for a Senior Commercial Manager who will engage directly with clients and internal stakeholders, providing commercial insight to support bid documentation and commercial cases, and ensuring that commercial risks and opportunities are clearly understood. This role is an integral member of the Finance & Commercial function, reporting into the CFO, and focuses on strengthening our internal commercial insight capability by improving how we capture and use data, and ensuring teams have access to clear, timely information to support decision‑making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build processes that enable quicker access to high‑quality employee, financial, and sector data for Commercial teams.
  • Support the capture, tracking, and interpretation of commercial data to generate insights, identify trends, and inform decision‑making.
  • Support contract understanding and compliance, ensuring project teams have the right level of contractual awareness, coordinating contract change process, and reviewing Statements of Work, Change Control Notes, and Change Requests from a commercial and legal perspective.
  • Provide commercial direction and support to project teams, maintaining oversight of project performance, addressing deviations from plan, and ensuring contractual obligations under the MSA—including annual reports—are delivered in collaboration with Finance and Delivery teams.
  • Contribute to commercial governance with risk and opportunity management, ensuring risks, opportunities, and contractual positions are captured and documented using agreed templates, maintaining compliance with governance standards, and aligning with Agilisys-wide commercial and financial controls, including the Deal Review process.
  • Support the identification and assessment of commercial growth opportunities by working with local and senior stakeholders to identify areas for contract expansion, developing balanced and commercially innovative solutions.
  • Translate data into compelling narratives, supporting sales, bid activity, and internal storytelling.
  • Own and deliver timely, accurate internal reporting for the Commercial team and senior management.
  • Act as a support point for interpreting insights and preparing presentations for internal and stakeholder audiences.
  • Contribute to strategic planning cycles, forecasting processes, and high‑priority commercial projects that drive long‑term business success.
  • Support improvements to commercial governance, processes, and controls across the division.

  • Excellent data interpretation skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and communicate insights clearly.
  • Keen interest in using AI and emerging technologies to streamline processes, enhance reporting, and generate deeper insight.
  • Strong understanding of commercial concepts such as pricing, KPIs, margin drivers, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence presenting to varied audiences.
  • Comfortable establishing new processes and improving existing ones.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with multiple priorities.
  • A self‑starter who is organised, detail‑oriented, and solutions‑focused.
