Our Business Planning team delivers the Screwfix Growth Plan, and this role is central to making it happen. As a Business Planning Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of strategically important, cross‑functional projects that enhance our customer and colleague proposition. Working across stores, digital, operations and technology, you’ll partner with senior stakeholders to shape, mobilise and deliver initiatives that make a real commercial difference. This is a high‑visibility role offering real breadth and exposure across the business. Working closely with senior leaders and Board‑level stakeholders, you’ll bring structure, pace, and clarity to complex initiatives, ensuring they land successfully and create lasting impact.

Key responsibilities
- Work with the Sponsors & Leads to identify, define, evaluate, plan, track and realise the business benefits of projects.
- Takes a lead on making change projects happen, ensuring that they are delivered to time, cost and quality.
- Develop a project scope and manage the delivery of business initiatives/change.
- Create project plan with business stakeholders in accordance with a plan template and structure.
- Effectively manage relationships with key stakeholders and team members.
- Proactively look to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support with all project governance activity where required.
- Ensure effective governance of projects.
- Influence systems and documentation to support the effective organisation of the project/programme.
- Understand business change of project and ensure business is ready to embed the change.
Required Skills & Experience
- Ability to influence without positional power
- Strong interpersonal with experience of communicating and influencing stakeholders at multiple levels
- Project Management skills and knowledge of principles
- Understanding of business processes
- Ability to support stakeholders through change
- Ability to prioritise others and their own workload – delivery focused
- Flexible in being able to adapt to changing business requirements
- Lead project meetings and workshops to drive delivery
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Project or other PM tools.
