The Role
As the transport supervisor you'll report to the Transport Manager and will be primarily responsible for working in a team, managing tasks under pressure, and adapting to new environments on a daily basis.
We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated Transport Supervisor to join our dynamic team. If you're passionate about logistics, have a knack for managing teams, and enjoy working in a fast‑paced environment, we want to hear from you!
Shifts: 5 out of 6 nights. Time: 1 am to 8/9 am.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the transport department, ensuring efficient and safe transportation of goods and personnel.
- Manage and supervise a team of drivers, dispatchers, and other transport staff.
- Coordinate routes, schedules, and vehicle maintenance to optimise delivery performance.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, legal requirements, and company policies.
- Monitor fuel usage, vehicle condition, and repair needs to minimise downtime.
- Resolve any transport‑related issues or complaints in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare reports on transportation performance, including cost analysis and efficiency metrics.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure smooth coordination of logistics and deliveries.
Key Requirements
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- In‑depth knowledge of transport regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.
- A valid driver’s licence (Class 2) – preferable and clean driving record.
- Familiarity with transport management software and systems is a plus.
