AAC Clyde Space is a leading new space company specialising in small satellite technologies and services that enable businesses, governments and educational organisations to access high-quality, timely data from space. This data is essential to improving our quality of life on Earth. AAC Clyde Space aims to become a world leader in commercial small satellites and services from space, applying advances in its technology to tackle global challenges and improve our life on Earth.
We are looking for a customer-focused service manager to join our Data & Services team. You will lead space data and service delivery to commercial and government customers around the world. Taking sales inputs from the Business Units, you will be responsible for ensuring that technical teams have a clear understanding of delivery requirements, budget and schedule while liaising with customers to ensure that expectations are met. You will work with the sales team to ensure a seamless transition for the customer from pre- to post-sale engagement, and to facilitate renewals. You will also work with product managers and technical team leaders to ensure that development projects have suitable controls and resource plans in place for timely delivery. You will sustain a calm, focused working environment in a fast-paced business context.
This opportunity is ideal for someone with customer management experience in a complex technical environment with a focus on quality of service. The position offers the opportunity to share your expertise in a fast-growing space technology company that is bringing new data and insights to address challenges in business and government. An understanding of the capabilities and limits of space systems in creating geospatial data will be an advantage in a team that is deploying the data capacity of innovative satellite constellations developed and operated by AAC Clyde Space.
The role is based in London where hybrid working is available. The nature of the role will require essential, regular business travel (both local and global) plus the occasional ‘out of hours’ work that may be required to support customer and business activities.
Please note that in future, you may be required to complete a Basic Disclosure check (https://www.mygov.scot/apply-for-level-1-disclosure).
