Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer – Ballymena – Excellent Salary

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer to join a growing manufacturing organisation at its modern production facility in Ballymena. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in driving lean manufacturing, supporting new product introduction, and improving production efficiency across operations.

The Role:

• Analyse manufacturing systems to identify inefficiencies and implement waste and cost reduction initiatives.
• Support operational teams in deploying lean tools and continuous improvement activities across production and support functions.
• Coordinate the transition of new product designs from concept through to full‑scale manufacturing.
• Lead Design for Manufacture activities, maintaining and resolving product‑based manufacturing issue logs.
• Manage New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including assessment of manpower, materials, equipment, and layout requirements.
• Design and optimise workshop and factory layouts to improve space utilisation, workflow, and safety.
• Provide daily hands‑on technical support and problem‑solving on the production floor.
• Design and oversee the development of jigs, fixtures, templates, and other manufacturing tooling.
• Develop and sustain efficient workflows to support scalable and flexible manufacturing operations.

The Person:

• Third‑level qualification in an Engineering related subject.
• 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Strong background in production line problem‑solving and root cause analysis.
• Experience leading engineering or continuous improvement projects.
