Job Description:

To establish, lead, and embed a best-in-class compliance and quality function at TickiTape, ensuring the business meets all regulatory, certification, and operational standards required to support rapid growth, major contract wins, and international expansion.

This role is critical in enabling TickiTape to scale to £10m+ revenue by ensuring we are compliant, audit-ready, and trusted by Tier 1 customers across construction, marine, and industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities1. Compliance & Certification

  • Lead the development and implementation of all compliance frameworks across the business
  • Own and manage certifications including:
  • MED-B (marine compliance – maintain and expand)
  • Any additional sector-specific accreditations (e.g. construction, aerospace as required)
  • Ensure all documentation, processes, and systems meet regulatory standards
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all external audits and regulatory bodies

2. Quality Management

  • Design and implement a robust Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Production
  • Goods in/out
  • Batch tracking and traceability
  • Investigate product issues and complaints, identifying root cause and implementing corrective actions
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies and procedures
  • Ensure the business is contract-ready for large tenders and corporate clients
  • Support the creation of board-level reporting on compliance and quality metrics

4. Training & Culture

  • Embed a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
  • Work closely with department heads to ensure compliance is operational, not theoretical

Skills & Experience Required

  • Proven experience in a compliance, quality, or regulatory role within manufacturing
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 (implementation experience essential)
  • Experience with certification processes and audits
  • Ability to build systems and processes from scratch
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Confident working with senior leadership and influencing across teams
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and commercially aware
  • Experience in adhesives, construction materials, or industrial manufacturing
  • Knowledge of marine (MED) or similar regulatory environments
  • Experience scaling a business through compliance frameworks
