This role combines specialist fire expertise with full lifecycle project delivery, operating within RIBA stages and NEC4 methodologies.

Job Description

We are looking for someone with deep technical fire knowledge – BM Trada, UK fire regulations and fire remediation standards – who can manage complex, multi-site works while maintaining safety, compliance, cost control and high-quality stakeholder communication.

Project management methods can be taught; fire expertise is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, execute and oversee nationwide fire protection projects focused on fire doors and compartmentation.
  • Lead multiple interlinked disciplines and cross-functional delivery teams.
  • Act as the primary liaison between client stakeholders, account leadership and internal teams.
  • Convert high-level programmes into actionable, compliant project plans.
  • Manage reporting, progress updates, steering groups and stakeholder expectations.

  • Ensure full compliance with NEC4, RIBA, CDM and national fire safety regulations.
  • Lead audits, quality reviews and continuous improvement activity across the portfolio.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Strong fire safety background (BM Trada, fire stopping, fire doors) – essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK fire regulations and approved remediation methods.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction specifications.
  • Relevant fire safety certifications (CFSP, FSCT, FIRAS) preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally.

Benefits

  • Permanent, secure roles on a long-term, 10-year government contract.
  • Company car and private healthcare.
  • Hybrid working with control over your own project schedule.
  • National remit with autonomy.
  • Access to subject matter experts in M&E, Fire and Security.
  • Delivery responsibility for high-value public sector programmes (£10–£20M portfolio per PM).
