We’re recruiting a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager with the day‑to‑day running of an Ofsted‑regulated residential children’s home, and to lead confidently in their absence.
Responsibilities
- Support with managing operations, supervising staff, and completing administration.
- Maintain and check casework records.
- Play an active role in case conferences, reviews and care planning.
- Work shifts on a rota, including evenings and weekends.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare with supervisory responsibility.
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or working towards it.
- Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months (or willingness to obtain with support).
- Child‑centred and safeguarding‑focused.
- Confident making key decisions with sound judgement.
- Organised with strong administrative skills.
- Resilient, people‑focused, and flexible to the needs of the home.
