Job Description:

We’re recruiting a Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager with the day‑to‑day running of an Ofsted‑regulated residential children’s home, and to lead confidently in their absence.

Responsibilities

  • Support with managing operations, supervising staff, and completing administration.
  • Maintain and check casework records.
  • Play an active role in case conferences, reviews and care planning.
  • Work shifts on a rota, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare with supervisory responsibility.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (England) or working towards it.
  • Full UK driving licence held for at least 12 months (or willingness to obtain with support).
  • Child‑centred and safeguarding‑focused.
  • Confident making key decisions with sound judgement.
  • Organised with strong administrative skills.
  • Resilient, people‑focused, and flexible to the needs of the home.
