Civils Project Quantity Surveyor
Permanent – North West – £55k+package
My client is a reputable regional civil engineering contractor with extensive works secured on frameworks across the north west. Due to this expansion, they require a Project Quantity Surveyor to join the team. As a business they deliver infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, utilities and rail.
As Project Quantity Surveyor, your key responsibilities will involve procurement of sub‑contractors, preparation and submission of external applications for payment, identification, pricing and agreement of change, valuation of sub‑contractor accounts, and the commercial management of the projects. The role is site‑based covering projects across the north west, including Lancashire, Liverpool and Greater Manchester.
Key Responsibilities
- Management of sub‑contractor procurement
- Attend sub‑contractor pre‑contract meetings
- Preparation of formal sub‑contract agreements
- Measurement of works
- Management of legal issues and disputes
- Management of important commercial issues
- Management of sub‑contractor interim account
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- BSc, NVQ4 or MSc qualification
- Relevant CSCS card
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem‑solving ability with commercial acumen
- Understanding of various forms of measurement and NEC engineering and construction contracts
