Job Title: Product ManagerFunction: GrowLocation: London or Peterborough
We’re hiring a Platform Product Manager to help shape and own the next generation of our internal platform. This role is central to the shift toward a platform‑as‑a‑product model, working closely with engineering, UX, architecture, and journey teams to create a scalable, reliable, and easy‑to‑consume platform that accelerates delivery across the organization.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Own the roadmap and strategy for several platform services used across our site for all mediums – web, app, AI assets.
- Define and evolve platform APIs, data contracts and integration patterns.
- Own and improve the schema‑driven UI framework to ensure it renders consistently under varied states and data structures.
- Work with engineering to shape technical solutions, prioritise work and plan delivery.
- Drive improvements to platform reliability, latency, observability and scalability.
- Help establish and embed the platform‑as‑a‑product mindset, focusing on reusability, adoption and measurable value.
- Ensure platform capabilities are straightforward for product teams to consume.
What We’re Looking For
- Thinks in platforms, not features – understands service boundaries, APIs, contracts, scaling, and long‑term maintainability.
- Can define and own a clear platform vision, and turn that into a coherent roadmap that multiple squads can rally around.
- Is comfortable working closely with engineering on architectural decisions and technical trade‑offs.
- Can collaborate with UX and FE engineering to evolve a flexible, schema‑driven UI framework that adapts cleanly to BFF‑provided data.
- Understands the importance of reliability, observability and performance for platform adoption.
- Communicates clearly, cuts through complexity and creates alignment across teams.
- Proven experience as a Platform PM or Technical PM in a back‑end‑heavy environment.
- Strong grasp of system architecture, APIs, event flows or service‑oriented design.
- Experience working with BFF patterns or schema‑driven UI frameworks.
