Shift Pattern
A rotating shift pattern of week 1: 6.00 – 14.00 Monday to Thursday and 6.00 – 13.00 Friday and week 2: 14.00 – 22.00 Monday to Thursday and 13.00 – 20.00 Friday
A flexographic Printer job requires you to manage flexographic printing machines such asan10 colour narrow web servo-driven flexographic press. You usually prepare the press for printing and troubleshoot any issues during printing.
Monitor printing processes of presses tomaintainspecified operating levels and to detect malfunctions,adjustingas necessary. Maintain inks and solvents according to types of material being printed and work order specifications.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To ensure all printing tasks are carried out tohigh standardsand that the standards aremaintained.
- Tooperateand maintain production speeds on your shift and setting times to targets and record / report in areas where this is not possible.
- To work constantly towards production improvements in methods, toeliminatepotential quality problems and reduce downtime.
- To liaise with the production manager to achieve bestpossible machineutilisation with minimum wastage, while ensuring excellent quality, at bestpossible deliverydates.
- Work as part of a team supporting colleagues and sharing information.
- To follow all aspects of Quality Control and Quality Assurance in the Print Department and ensureaccuraterecords aremaintained.
- To ensure your teamwork andmaintainsafe working systems to ensure personnel are kept free from injury and operations are safe and efficient.
- Ensure collaborative working within the Print Department viagood communication.
Required Skills & Experience
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
- Ability tooperateor to quickly learn tooperatevarious printing machines and related software.
- Ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in Flexographic Printing
- Experience meeting SEDEX and ETI Requirements (not essential)
- Experience working within a team with a good standard of communication
