Effective communication involves connecting with others. Use your creative skills and training to assist the London team in communicating with local diaspora, under-reached communities, and ministry partners. Creative connections can lead to effective relationship building, gatherings, evangelism, and discipleship that will help the team fulfill our vision of planting reproducing house churches.
Use your training and experience in web development, video, photography, writing, and social media to creatively tell stories of God’s work in London. Develop communication tools to help share the gospel, create discipleship tools, encourage believers, mobilize new workers, and raise funds and prayer support for the London team.
This position requires a vibrant and dedicated spiritual life characterized by consistent practice of spiritual disciplines. Communication Specialists will need to have a solid understanding of the Scriptures and be able to teach and clearly communicate the Word of God with the goal of pointing people to Jesus Christ.
He/she has a heart for diaspora and under-reached communities and is passionate about the transformation available through faith in Christ. The candidate must be:
- Spiritually mature, exhibiting humility and godliness
- Theological education (formal or informal)
- Skilled storyteller: Ability to tell a story (writing, video, social media, web design, etc.) that draws people’s interest and attention.
- Experienced in evangelism and discipleship
- Communication Skills: The ability to clearly communicate with people from a variety of cultures, as well as the ability to faithfully teach Scripture
- Flexible: The ability to customize methods for a distinct cultural context and a desire to equip others to do the same
- Sensitivity and Insight: Experience or training with minority, diaspora, marginalized, or otherwise vulnerable populations, with the ability to discern the unique challenges of the local community
- Evangelism and Discipleship: At least 1-2 years of experience in evangelism and discipleship, with the capacity to equip and support others in their call to evangelize and disciple
Communication Specialists will collaborate with their team and field leader for assignments and priorities. They will:
- Design and create evangelism and discipleship tools for individuals and church plants
- Tell the story of new believers to encourage growth and development
- Live in a multicultural neighborhood
- Teach the Bible in formal and informal settings
- Evangelize and disciple people
- Establish and maintain local relationships
- Assist in the local church-planting process
