- Demonstrable ability to translate government policy into consumer impact

- Use social video to broaden the reach and impact of The i Paper’s political journalism
- Identify opportunities to convert political moments into subscriber growth through distinctive, high‑value news and insight
- Build your profile by representing The i Paper externally, enhancing the brand’s reputation for smart, independent political coverage
- Uphold The i Paper’s position of political impartiality at all times

- A track record of delivering agenda‑setting political exclusives at national level
- Strong contacts across Westminster and beyond, with the credibility to secure major interviews
- Exceptional analytical ability and the authority to write with clarity and conviction
- Deep understanding of the UK political landscape and its global context
- Calm and collegiate in a fast‑moving news environment
- Demonstrable experience of driving digital performance and engaging subscription audiences
- A creative approach to format and presentation, with a willingness to experiment and innovate
