This is a varied, hands-on role supporting sales, marketing, and retention teams — ideal for someone who enjoys being at the centre of operations and making things run smoothly.

The Company

Our client is a leading subscription agency providing sales, marketing, and distribution for some of the world’s top academic publishers.

They work with schools, colleges, and libraries globally, helping educators access high-quality digital resources that support teaching, learning, and student success.

With over 60 resources across 9 publishers, their success relies on effective marketing, strong data management, and close collaboration between teams.

The Role

You’ll report to the Communications Manager and work closely with the sales and retention teams, supporting both marketing campaigns and day-to-day commercial activity.

This is a hands-on role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail, and confidence working with data and systems.

What you’ll be doing

  • Running and managing contact lists in Excel
  • Maintaining and improving data quality (removing bounces, sourcing new contacts)
  • Researching schools, trusts, and international groups to support the sales team
  • Supporting the team in HubSpot, including keeping up to date with new tools and features

Marketing & Retention Support

  • Designing and updating collateral in Canva (including rebranding existing materials)
  • Building, scheduling, and managing email campaigns in HubSpot
  • Updating and maintaining websites (Drupal or WordPress)
  • Creating web pages, uploading content, and managing forms
  • Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance and engagement metrics

Why this role stands out

  • A genuinely varied role across sales, marketing, and operations
  • Hands-on experience with Canva, HubSpot, website management, and Excel-based data work
  • Opportunity to become a key support across multiple teams
  • A collaborative, supportive environment with strong training
  • The chance to build highly transferable skills early in your career

Tools & experience you’ll gain

  • Canva – designing and updating marketing collateral
  • HubSpot – building campaigns, managing data, and supporting the sales team
  • Websites (Drupal/WordPress) – updating content and creating pages
  • Excel – managing large datasets, improving data quality, and supporting outreach

The Package

  • 25 days holiday and statutory bank holidays (8 at present), plus an additional day for every two years of employment (up to 30 days).
  • Early Friday closure
  • Quarterly socials and Christmas party
  • Thorough training and support to help you succeed from a management team that takes pleasure in seeing people grow

What we’re looking for

  • 2+ years’ experience in a similar marketing/support role
  • Strong confidence working with data and Excel
  • Experience updating websites (Drupal preferred, WordPress also fine)
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Able to manage multiple priorities across different teams
  • A proactive team player who enjoys supporting others
  • Understanding of SEO

Nice to have (not essential)

  • Knowledge of the UK education system or the International Baccalaureate
  • Experience in publishing
  • Openness to using AI tools effectively and responsibly
