Overview

KT & Coe are currently recruiting for an experienced Serious Injury Claims Handler to join a specialist legal team. This role is ideal for someone with previous personal injury case handling experience, particularly with serious injury claims, who is looking to develop their career within a supportive and high-performing team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of serious injury personal injury claims from initial instruction through to resolution.
  • Apply for and review medical records and supporting documentation.
  • Liaise with clients, witnesses, police forces and third parties.
  • Obtain police reports, CCTV evidence and witness statements.
  • Ensure clients attend required medical examinations.
  • Negotiate settlements with third parties.
  • Prepare cases for litigation and court proceedings.
  • Prepare court bundles and documentation.
  • Assist counsel at court hearings where required.
  • Maintain accurate file management and compliance with legal procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Previous experience handling serious injury personal injury claims (intermediate / multi-track).
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload and prioritise work effectively.
  • Strong team player with a proactive approach.
