Intermediate Bench Joiner/Wood Machinist

Christchurch Timber & Trading Ltd are a family-owned company with two branches in the heart of Christchurch town centre, Dorset. We are an established Timber Merchant and Joinery company serving both commercial, residential and specialist projects across the South of England.

We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled Bench Joiner/Wood Machinist to join our team within our busy joinery workshop.

Responsibilities;

• Confidently interpret technical drawings and cutting lists to craft Porch kits, Gallow Brackets, Door Linings, Casement Frames, FLB Doors, Car Barns, Door Kits and many more.
• Carrying out bench joinery tasks for projects running through the workshop to a high standard
• Following day to day production instructions to meet project programmes and planned deliveries.
• Operating, assembling and maintaining joinery machinery, components and hand tools
• Experience using a spindle moulder, end tenoner, crosscut, table saw, band saw, router, belt sander
• Preparing and running our In-House priming machine
• Clear communication of all relevant information such as project progress along with any potential issues, while being able to actively problem solve both as a team and individually.
• Ability to work to a high standard both individually and as part of a team
