Business Analyst (Charles River)

6 mth engagement (plus likely extension to 12 months +).

A leading institutional investment organisation is seeking a Business Analyst to support Front Office change initiatives within its investment platform. You will bring experience as a Business Analyst within an investment management or asset management environment, with strong exposure to Front Office systems. Be able to demonstrate hands‑on involvement in Charles River (CRIMS) implementation or enhancement projects.

The Opportunity

• A leading institutional investment organisation is seeking a Business Analyst to support Front Office change initiatives within its investment platform
• Working closely with portfolio managers, traders, operations and technology teams, you will play a key role in delivering enhancements to the firm’s Order Management System, with a particular focus on Charles River implementation and optimisation
• The role will involve gathering requirements, analysing Front Office workflows, supporting system configuration, and assisting with testing and delivery of investment system improvements

Your Experience

• You will bring experience as a Business Analyst within an investment management or asset management environment, with strong exposure to Front Office systems
• Be able to demonstrate hands‑on involvement in Charles River (CRIMS) implementation or enhancement projects
• Strong understanding of the investment trade lifecycle and Front Office workflows
• Experience working with traders, portfolio managers and investment operations teams
• Knowledge of investment instruments including equities, fixed income, funds and derivatives
• Strong analytical capability, with proficiency in SQL and Excel
• Experience with other OMS platforms such as Aladdin or thinkFolio would be beneficial
