Job Title: Neighbourhood Housing Officer
Location: Hybrid – office and on-site visits
Role Summary:The Neighbourhood Housing Officer manages council properties and supports residents to sustain their tenancies. They ensure estates are safe, well-maintained, and thriving communities while addressing tenancy issues, anti-social behaviour, and lease management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out estate inspections and monitor repairs, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Support tenants to sustain tenancies and prevent homelessness.
- Advise residents on rent, benefits, and housing services.
- Address breaches of tenancy, anti-social behaviour, and subletting issues.
- Work with residents and community groups to improve local neighbourhoods.
- Maintain records, prepare reports, and liaise with colleagues, councillors, and partner agencies.
Requirements:
- Experience in social housing, tenancy, or leasehold management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in the community and office.
- Knowledge of housing law and local housing policies.
