A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Credit Manager to join a global distribution business with an outstanding reputation across the region for both its market presence and employee culture.
This role will take ownership of a well-established credit function, overseeing a team of 7 and working closely with the Head of Credit to drive performance, strengthen processes and support wider business objectives. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone looking to step into a visible leadership role within a fast-paced, commercially focused environment.
The Role
- Lead, develop and motivate a team of 7 across credit control and accounts receivable
- Oversee day-to-day credit operations, ensuring timely collections and effective risk management
- Support the Head of Credit in delivering strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects
- Review and enhance credit policies, procedures and controls
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders including Sales, Finance and Operations
- Monitor aged debt, KPIs and team performance, providing regular reporting and insight
- Manage escalated accounts and negotiate payment plans where required
- Drive process efficiencies and support system enhancements
About You
- Proven experience within a Credit Manager or Senior Credit Control leadership role
- Strong people management skills with a collaborative leadership style
- Commercially minded with the ability to balance risk and customer relationships
- Confident communicator with stakeholder management experience
- Highly organised with strong analytical capability
- Experience within distribution, logistics or product-based environments advantageous
