Project Accountant

We are seeking a high calibre Project Accountant to join the finance team overseeing a regeneration scheme in London. This role will pay £60,000 – £65,000 plus bonus & bens.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial management of major work packages, overseeing multi million pound CAPEX budgets.
• Conduct detailed cost to complete analysis and report variances against budgets.
• Work closely with Project Directors, contractors and development teams to validate assumptions, challenge changes, and drive commercial value.
• Provide insight into cost movements, procurement outcomes and risk exposures.
• Producing board packs and reporting for joint venture partners and institutional investors.
• Support investment committees with robust financial analysis and scenario planning.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and multi‑year financial modelling across phases of the development lifecycle.
• Manage cash flow planning, ensuring adequate liquidity during peak construction periods.

Required Experience & Attributes

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or high performing finalist) with strong experience in asset heavy environments.
• Proven background in real estate development, large scale construction, infrastructure or major regen projects.
• Advanced Excel capability, with strong financial modelling skills.
• Able to translate complex financial information for non‑finance stakeholders including technical, creative or operational teams.
• Confident in challenging assumptions and contributing to commercial discussions.
