We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Originator to join our growing London team, to cover the UK and Irish markets. This individual will play a central role in identifying, sourcing, underwriting, and executing value-add real estate deals across asset classes and geographies.
This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with experience across multi-asset classes who has a strong network of industry professionals, including insolvency practitioners, debt restructuring advisors, receivers, administrators, bank work‑out groups and debt funds. You will bring an entrepreneurial mindset and an ability to originate new deals and support the execution of high conviction transactions. You will work closely with the Origination Director and the broader Investment team to structure deals, assess risk/return profiles and contribute to transaction committee materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate value‑add and special situation opportunities via off‑market, lightly marketed and competitive processes secured by real‑estate assets.
- Build and maintain relationships with banks, non‑bank lenders, debt advisors, loan servicers, brokers, insolvency and restructuring professionals, sponsors, borrowers and other market participants.
- Maintain active coverage of market participants likely to generate distressed situations, including lenders with maturing loans, covenant breaches, non‑core exposures or balance sheet optimisation needs. Track trends in the UK and Irish real estate lending markets, including refinancing gaps, distress triggers, sector dislocation and transaction activity. Map target lenders, portfolios and upcoming maturities to anticipate deal flow before formal sale processes begin.
- Represent the firm externally and build credibility as a preferred counterparty for speed, certainty and discretion.
- Assess market themes and identify strategic or thematic opportunities consistent with Arrow Global’s investment mandate.
- Assess inbound and self‑sourced opportunities for strategic fit, pricing, downside protection, complexity and execution risk.
- Support the preparation of investment committee materials, and transaction recommendations.
- Negotiate and structure transactions in collaboration with legal and third‑party advisors.
- Alongside our Asset / Development Management team, monitor existing investments, and identify value creation or risk mitigation strategies.
- Implement tracking, reporting, and performance metrics for deal flow
Skills & Expertise
- Degree‑qualified in Real Estate, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 7+ years of relevant experience in real estate finance, distressed debt, special situations, structured credit, loan sales, restructuring or commercial real estate lending.
- Demonstrable track record in sourcing, structuring, and closing real estate transactions.
- Strong network across banks, receivers, IPs, advisors, servicers, administrators, and industry intermediaries.
- Strong analytical skills and investment risk assessment experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to evaluate structures and identify value add opportunities.
- Proficient in MS Excel and other relevant software
