About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Group Finance Manager to support the UK Group Finance function. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and continuous improvement of financial processes across the UK group entities.

You will work closely with senior stakeholders and the wider Group Finance team to deliver high-quality financial information and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare weekly and monthly UK performance packs for executive leadership
  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes across group entities
  • Oversee cost centre management for shared group costs and partner with department heads
  • Act as the key contact for Group reporting requests, working closely with the Spanish Group Finance team
  • Improve self-service financial reporting using Dynamics 365 Management Reporter and Power BI

Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Prepare weekly UK Group cash flow forecasts
  • Coordinate the annual UK Group budgeting process
  • Develop budgets and forecasts for group entities
  • Manage Group recharge allocations

Financial Controls & Compliance

  • Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts
  • Ensure monthly reporting controls are followed across finance teams
  • Review journal controls, reconciliations, and expense testing
  • Identify and implement financial control improvements

Audit & Statutory Reporting

  • Support external audits, including preparing schedules, samples, and disclosures
  • Prepare year-end statutory accounts
  • Produce subsidiary reporting packs for Group consolidation
  • Improve audit readiness and reduce control findings

Tax Management

  • Prepare Corporation Tax, VAT, and other tax returns
  • Support HMRC and external tax advisor requests
  • Assist with analysis of R&D tax credits and capital allowances

Systems & Process Improvements

  • Support the transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365 across Group entities
  • Assist with implementation of new systems including:
    • Purchase order systems
    • Treasury management tools
    • Group consolidation tools
  • Support wider Group financial reporting projects

About You

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a similar finance role within a medium to large multi-entity organisation, or within an audit practice
  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Experience managing audits and statutory accounts processes
  • Strong Excel and ERP system skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities

Desirable

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI
  • Experience in systems implementation or finance transformation projects
