Temporary Tenancy Investigator
We’re looking for an experienced investigator to play a key role in tackling tenancy fraud and protecting valuable social housing stock for those in genuine need.
Responsibilities
- Lead tenancy fraud investigations from start to finish.
- Gather and analyse evidence to support repossession of misused homes.
- Work with housing staff, external partners, and enforcement agencies.
- Produce clear, high-quality case reports and updates.
- Deliver fraud awareness training to housing colleagues.
About You
You’ll be confident, self-motivated, and able to work independently under pressure. You’ll bring:
- A counter-fraud qualification or strong investigative experience.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation (PACE, RIPA, Fraud Act, POSHFA).
- Experience in social housing fraud or similar investigative work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage a varied caseload.
This is a temporary position requiring flexibility, including occasional work outside normal office hours. A satisfactory DBS check will be required.
