Overview

Purpose of the Role: We are seeking a skilled and motivated Power Support Engineer to carry out installation, maintenance, and repair work across a range of domestic and commercial environments. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent attention to detail, and confident use of both hand and power tools.

A key part of the role involves working with UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems, including installation, commissioning, diagnostics, and ongoing maintenance. You will support mission-critical environments where power reliability is essential to protecting IT and electrical infrastructure.

Professionalism, safe working practices, and high-quality workmanship are essential.

Working Environment

This role supports operations closely aligned with Salicru Electronics S.A., a leading Spanish manufacturer of advanced Power Electronics Systems. These include UPS systems, DC rectifiers, inverters, voltage stabilisers, and power conditioners. This partnership enables delivery of a fully integrated, mission-critical power protection service to a broad client base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, maintain, and repair UPS systems and related power support equipment.
  • Provide mechanical installation and site-based support as required across domestic and commercial locations.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults with efficiency and professionalism.
  • Complete site surveys, risk assessments, and method statements where necessary.
  • Accurately complete job sheets, reports, and documentation.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

Skills & Experience Required

  • NVQ Level 2 or above in a mechanical, technical, or building services discipline (essential).
  • Proven experience working with UPS systems — installation, testing, maintenance, and fault-finding.
  • Full UK driving licence (preferred/required based on your policy).

Desirable Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in a relevant mechanical or electrical field.
  • Electrical awareness or UPS-related certifications.
  • Experience in commercial and domestic environments.
  • Familiarity with power electronics, backup systems, or M&E environments
