Responsibilities

• Leading and motivating a team of surveyors and repairs officers
• Making sure repairs are completed right — first time, on time
• Driving performance across staff and contractors
• Investigating complex building issues (drainage, defects, asbestos, etc.)
• Managing budgets, authorising works and maintaining controls
• Improving customer experience and solving problems quickly
• Using data to influence future investment and maintenance programmes
• Collaborating across teams to keep standards high

Qualifications

• Degree‑level qualification in a construction‑related field
• 10+ years’ experience in building maintenance/repairs
• Strong knowledge of building construction and defects
• Experience managing technical teams in reactive maintenance
• Understanding of CDM, asbestos legislation, and building regs
• A proactive, solutions‑focused leadership style
