Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established planning consultancy in their search for a Senior Town Planner to join their growing team based in Beaconsfield.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planner to take the next step in their career within a respected private consultancy, working across a wide range of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. The Role
As a Senior Town Planner, you will take a leading role in managing a varied portfolio of planning projects from initial feasibility through to submission and determination.
Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Preparing and managing planning applications and appeals
- Undertaking site appraisals and planning policy assessments
- Drafting planning statements and supporting documentation
- Managing project timelines and coordinating consultants
- Liaising with Local Planning Authorities and key stakeholders
- Supporting junior members of the team where required
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
Candidate Requirements
- MRTPI qualified (or working towards Chartership)
- Degree in Town Planning or a related discipline
- Demonstrable experience within either the private or public sector
- Strong knowledge of UK planning policy and development management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage projects independently
