PPM is currently looking for Mobile Electricians and Technicians/Testers to work in CARDIFF and surrounding areas.
PPM Electrician (Job 1)
Salary: £37.5k‑£40k depending on experience. No standard bonus, but weekend bonuses of £200 per shift and additional bonuses for out‑of‑hours call‑outs are available. Working 47.5‑hour contract, door‑to‑door.
About the Role
Fully qualified Mobile Maintenance / PPM Electrician to deliver planned and reactive maintenance across retail, industrial and commercial sites, ensuring compliant and safe day‑to‑day operations to NICEIC standards.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician: 2365 with NVQ 3 or 236 Parts 1 and 2, or equivalent, with a 17th or 18th Edition Master Card.
- Gold Card desirable.
- Compliance with Irish Regulations.
- Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
- IT literacy – able to use smartphone/tablet.
- Ability to carry and use steps/ladders for short‑duration work at height.
PPM Technician (Job 2)
Salary: £40k‑£42.5k depending on experience. No standard bonus, but weekend bonuses of £200 per shift and additional bonuses for out‑of‑hours call‑outs are available. Working 47.5‑hour contract, door‑to‑door.
About the Role
Experienced Electrical Testing / PPM and Remedial Electrician to deliver compliance, planned maintenance and fixed wire testing (EICRs) to NICEIC standards, ensuring properties remain safe and compliant.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Electrician: 2365 with NVQ 3 or 236 Parts 1 and 2, or equivalent, with a 17th or 18th Edition Master Card.
- 2391 Inspection and Testing qualification (or equivalent).
- Full UK driving licence (max 6 points).
- PPM maintenance and fixed wire testing experience.
- IT literacy – confident with smartphone/tablet.
- Ability to carry and use steps/ladders for short‑duration work at height.
Key Duties for Both Roles
- Carry out compliance visits, remedial works, lighting maintenance.
- Test emergency lighting and fire alarms.
- Perform PAT testing and fire extinguisher servicing.
- Support occasional small project work as needed.
