Job Overview
The School of Electronic Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) is seeking three new Lecturers in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science to support our long‑standing Joint Programme (JP)/Joint Education Institution (JEI) with Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT) in Beijing. The successful candidate will ideally join us by August 2025. This is a Teaching and Scholarship position based in London, with regular travel to China for in‑person teaching.
Responsibilities
• Deliver teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level.• Contribute to scholarship activity and administrative responsibilities within the JP/JEI.• Develop and enhance curriculum and educational delivery in Electronic Engineering and Computer Science.• Engage in educational projects aligned with the School and University’s education priorities. Traditional technical research outputs are not in scope for this role.
Qualifications
• PhD in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent.• Teaching experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level.• Ability to teach across one or more of the following areas (not exclusively):
- Cognitive Robotic Systems
- Cryptography and Cyber Security
- Computer Networks
- Sensor and RFID
- Advanced Transform Methods
- Digital Signal Processing
- Embedded System Design
- Innovation and Technology for Engineering
- Machine Learning
- Introduction to AI
- Object‑Oriented Programming
