About this job

This full‑time, fixed‑term Breast Clinician role offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to both symptomatic and screening services within North Bristol Trust.

Secondment requests are welcome.

You’ll work across the full breadth of breast imaging, including the NHS Breast Screening Programme, within a service known for high clinical standards and a strong commitment to patient care.

The role suits professionals who bring expertise, positivity, and a patient‑focused approach, and who want to be part of a forward‑thinking Breast Cancer service.

What you’ll be part of

A major regional service delivering screening and symptomatic care across Southmead Hospital and Weston General Hospital.

A varied clinical portfolio that includes the full range of breast imaging activities, with opportunities to contribute to teaching, audit, and service development.

A collaborative clinical environment where Radiologists and Breast Clinicians work closely together, supported by a team with an excellent reputation for developing colleagues.

A leading teaching hospital setting that offers exposure to complex cases, peer learning, and ongoing professional growth.

This role combines meaningful clinical impact with the support and development opportunities of one of the UK’s largest teaching hospitals, making it an excellent next step for clinicians who want to grow their skills while contributing to a high‑performing service.

The symptomatic breast work will involve one‑stop clinics and further assessment of the recalled patient.

Participation at MDT meetings.

Depending on experience, the role may also involve ultrasound guided VAE.

There would be an expectation that the successful candidate would become involved in training, guiding, mentoring and continued professional development of Specialist Registrars in Radiology, Advanced Practitioners and Consultant Radiographers.

Overview: OSC, further assessment of recalled patients, MDT participation and training.
