Cancer Fund for Children has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Parental Cancer Support Specialist to join our Community Therapeutic Team in NI.
Cancer Fund for Children has over 30 years’ experience delivering support and services to children, teenagers and young adults impacted by cancer. We are excited to be recruiting a full-time Parental Cancer Support Specialist to operate in Northern Ireland (Belfast-based with regional remit). This is for a one year fixed term, covering a secondment.
As a Parental Cancer Support Specialist, you will primarily provide support to parents with cancer or their partners, with support extending to parents who have children with cancer when needed. Through our ‘informal therapeutic approach model’, you will respond to parents as and when needed to provide much needed social and emotional support, at times and places that best suit them and with the flexibility to provide one-off interventions or a programme of support.
