Senior Civils Quantity Surveyor

The company delivers high-quality civils and groundworks packages on a variety of building projects across the South West. With a strong pipeline of secured work in Bristol, Somerset, and North Devon, this is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor to join a specialist contractor offering long-term stability and career progression.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial performance of multiple civils and groundworks packages
• Prepare valuations, cost reports, and financial forecasts
• Procure, negotiate, and manage subcontractors
• Handle variations, change control, and final accounts
• Support operational teams to ensure cost control and commercial success
• Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
• Ensure projects remain on budget and commercially profitable

About You

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering or groundworks
• Experience working on civils and groundworks packages for residential, commercial, or infrastructure building projects
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills
• Good understanding of construction contracts (NEC / JCT preferred)
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Full UK driving licence

Salary & Benefits

• £60,000 – £70,000 salary
