Occupational Therapist Band 5 or Band 6

12-month fixed term/ secondment

Are you a flexible Occupational Therapist who has a passion for enabling Children & Young People to achieve their goals? If so, then we have the post for you! An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Child Health Occupational Therapy Service for recruitment of x2 Band 5 or Band 6 Occupational Therapists (depending on experience) to join our team for 12 months. Our service provides a three-tiered model of service delivery including universal, targeted and specialist interventions to children and young people from birth to 18 years across Tayside. This post will be within one of the teams across Tayside (Dundee & Angus, Perth or Acute) base will be determined on recruitment.

This post will offer the post holder the opportunity to work with a range of children and young people, and gain / improve on specialist skills in Child Health Occupational Therapy. You will be required to work in a variety of community settings including home visits, mainstream schools, out-patient clinics / in-patient depending on team. The post holder will work closely with a wide range of professionals and agencies including other health professionals, education, and social work.

We are looking for individuals who have good communication skills and are committed to multi-disciplinary team working. Applicants should have a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration. The Occupational Therapy Service offers supervision, appraisal, regular in-service training and is committed to Continued Professional Development.

Hours of work: 36 hrs per week.
