Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker to complement our existing team in Surgical Day Case Unit and Common admission lounge currently based in ward 3C.

We nurse and care for day surgery / elective surgery patients. An 11.5 hour shift pattern is in operation. You will be involved in all aspects of the clinical care of patients as part of the team. Ideally you will have some experience with acute nursing care but training will be available.

If you have a passion for working in a busy surgical ward and are a team player, motivated to enhance the care of surgical patients, then we would look forward to welcoming you to our dedicated Team.

  • Effective from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours. Part-time hours will be adjusted on a pro-rata basis. There will be an increase in the hourly rate to ensure that pay remains unaffected.
