Care Assistant

Hamberley Care Homes – Enfield, Greater London – Permanent Full‑time – 12 hour shifts with alternate weekend rota.

We believe our residents deserve something “Extra Special, Every Day” and we’re recruiting a Care Assistant (Homemaker) to help achieve that goal.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalised, client‑led care rather than rote task‑based care.
• Administer medication, assist with grooming, dressing and meals, and arrange visits and activities.
• Build and maintain strong, compassionate relationships with residents, respecting their preferences.
• Support residents with dementia, nursing and residential care needs.
• Offer timely assistance with daily living and any tasks that enhance residents’ quality of life.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience as a healthcare assistant, care assistant, carer, home‑care assistant or domiciliary care assistant is desirable.
• If you have no care experience, we provide full induction and training.
• Passion, empathy, and dedication to help residents live their lives to the fullest.
• A commitment to developing your knowledge of dementia, nutrition, or other specialisations is a plus.
