The job will be full time at Helsby Childrens Home in Warrington. Working with young people from 10 -18 years old who have experienced childhood traumas and who may have needs such as Autism and ADHD. You will be working alongside 10 other residential workers and reporting to the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager.
The role
The post is a 37-hour permanent contract, and the hours will be worked to cover a twenty-four hour, seven day a week service. We are looking for staff that are happy to work on a 24/7 rota, including weekends on a rota basis, working bank holidays and unsociable hours.
You will support the young people with their education, independence, interests and hobbies as well as enjoying days out and holidays with the young people.
What’s needed?
Experience within a residential care setting or of a similar role were those skills and experiences are transferrable.
Once probation is passed then there will be a opportunity to complete a Residential level 4 NVQ.

The interview will take place at the Childrens home for around 45 minutes with myself and two other homes managers.
There will be an opportunity to meet with the young people who live at the home and for them to ask you questions. this is important to us that our young people are part of our interviewing process.
In accordance with Home Office guidance, successful candidates must evidence their right to work in the UK before commencement of employment. Sponsorship is not available for this role. Therefore, you must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for appointment.
The ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
