Trainee Machine Operator

As a result of ongoing growth and expansion Rainham Steel a leading UK steel stockholder and reinforcement fabricator requires a Trainee Machine Operator to join the team in Rainham, Essex.

Location: Rainham Steel Co Ltd, Essex, RM13 9PF

Minimum starting salary of £560 per week (£13.17 p/h) depending on experience

Job type: Full Time, Permanent

The Job Role

• Reporting to the warehouse manager
• Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment
• Load the machine, set different shapes and quality check the finished product
• Assemble bundles for packing
• Physically able to cope with reasonable manual handling
• Flexible to do paid overtime when necessary
• Basic working hours 6am – 3.30pm, 42.5 hour per week

• Excellent communication both verbal and written
• Organised and motivated
• Ability to communicate with a wide range of people
• Able to work in a fast-paced pressurised environment
• You must have a good command of the English language
• Must be a good time keeper
