CNC Operator

Overview

Location: Tamworth | Company: Phoenix Tavinor Engineering

Due to expansion of our machine shop, we are looking to hire a CNC machine operator. This is a permanent role for a reliable individual. Full training will be provided. Excellent timekeeping and attendance are critical in a manufacturing environment.

Hours: Mon-Fri 05:45 – 14:00. 40 paid hours per week, with a 10 minute paid break and a 15 minute unpaid break.

Responsibilities

• Loading/unloading raw cast iron parts to machine fixtures.
• Deburring parts to remove sharp edges.
• Gauging parts using basic attribute gauges (Go/NoGo).
• Packing parts to correct specification.

Qualifications

• Good English and numeracy skills with attention to detail.
• Previous experience would be advantageous but not essential.
• Ability to work in a team and follow instructions accurately and consistently.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting rate: £12.71 per hour.
• 31 days holiday per year.
• Uniform provided on completion of probationary period.
